Lab Created Diamonds Description
Lab created diamond is a synthetic diamond that is cultivated in the laboratory to simulate the natural formation environment of natural diamond. It is mainly synthesized by HTHP method (high temperature and high pressure) and CVD method (chemical vapor precipitation method), also known as grown diamond. Natural diamonds are born about 160 kilometers below the surface. Every natural diamond is made of carbon, and over time, high temperatures and pressures in the earth's mantle crystallize that carbon to form natural diamonds, the hardest mineral in nature. Both lab created diamond and natural diamond are pure carbon crystals, and there is no obvious difference between them in crystal structure integrity, transparency, refractive index and dispersion. High-tech equipment can tell laboratory-grown diamonds from natural diamonds, but the naked eye can't tell the difference in appearance.
The difference between lab created diamonds and natural diamonds is mainly reflected in the production process and scarcity. Lab grown diamond production process takes about half a month to a month, simple, environmentally friendly, low cost, low scarcity. The formation of natural diamond takes millions or even billions of years. It is a non-renewable resource with high scarcity. Its mining process releases a large amount of carbon dioxide, causing irreversible damage to the surface. Compared with natural diamond, the higher cost performance makes lab grown diamond become a new choice in the diamond consumption field, which has broad prospects for development.

From a scientific point of view, cultivated diamonds are exactly the same as natural diamonds, the only difference being where they are formed.
Cultured diamond is a high quality synthetic diamond single crystal. At present, the global artificial diamond industry mainly has high temperature and high pressure method (HTHP) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) two kinds of production methods. The two methods use completely different synthesis principles and technologies, and produce different product types and characteristics. The main industrial applications are also focused on different terminal fields. In the field of cultivating diamond synthesis, high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) cultivation speed is fast, and has obvious advantages in 1-5CT cultivation diamond synthesis; The purity of cultured diamond synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is high, which is suitable for the synthesis of cultured diamond above 5ct. The two methods focus on different types of products and do not constitute a substitution relationship.
