Lab Grown Rough Diamonds Description

 

The diamonds made in the laboratory, also known as engineering or cultured diamonds, grow in a highly controlled laboratory environment. With advanced technology, they reproduce the natural conditions for the formation of diamonds under the mantle and crust. These synthetic diamonds are made up of actual carbon atoms, which are arranged in the unique crystal structure of diamonds. Because they are made of the same material as natural diamonds, they have the same optical and chemical properties.

 

The diamonds in our lab grow from the tiny carbon seeds of existing diamonds. Advanced technology - either extreme pressure and heat or a special deposition process - mimics the natural methods of diamond formation. Laboratory grown fancy colored diamonds are formed when a small amount of specific trace elements are present in the diamond growth stage, just like in nature. In white and colored laboratory diamonds, the exact composition of trace elements may be different from that of natural diamonds. Laboratory diamonds can only be distinguished from natural diamonds by special equipment, which can detect trace elements and subtle differences in crystal growth.

 

The diamonds produced in our laboratory can now be easily bought in all kinds of colorless diamonds. Cultured diamonds are also available in fancy colors and are considered to be very rare in nature, including the popular colorful Fancy Yellow.
