Lab Created Diamonds Description
Laboratory-grown diamond, or cultured diamond for short, is a synthetic diamond grown in a Laboratory to mimic the natural formation conditions of natural diamonds. Lab-grown diamond and natural diamond in physical, chemical, optical properties are completely consistent, all belong to the real diamond. The mainstream imitation diamond products on the market, such as zircon and Mosang, are mainly composed of zirconia and silicon carbide, respectively, which are different from the pure carbon content of diamonds.
The synthetic methods of diamond cultivation mainly include high-temperature and high-temperature method (HTHP method) and Chemical Vapor Deposition method (CVD method). HPHT high pressure and high temperature method is to take graphite and diamond powder as carbon source, in the hexahedral high pressure machine, simulate the growth environment of natural diamond (temperature 1400-1700 degrees Celsius, pressure 5.2-5.6GP) so that carbon atoms and carbon atoms are connected together to form diamond crystals. In CVD chemical vapor deposition method, diamond flakes are put into a vacuum chamber, which is filled with a mixture of hydrogen and methane, heated to gasification under a specific pressure to decompose methane, and carbon atoms are deposited layer by layer on the flakes to form a uniform diamond coating.
Lab created diamond is also known as synthetic diamond, artificial diamond, is produced in the laboratory of diamond, and natural diamond physical, chemical properties are completely the same, at the same time compared to natural diamond cost-effective. Many consumers are curious about the new category of lab grown diamond. In the past, CCTV Finance has also repeatedly reported lab created diamond related topics, giving affirmation to the cultivation of diamond market.
