Colored Lab Grown Rough Diamonds Description
Laboratory grown diamonds are not mined from the earth. Laboratory grown diamonds are not fakes, not cubic zircons, not crystals. They have the same chemical composition as natural diamonds. Laboratory diamonds are made in the laboratory. It starts with a small chemical called diamond seed. Then it's exposed to high temperatures, plus a layer of carbon coating, all of which are designed to help laboratory made diamonds crystallize as they grow.
Diamonds grown in the laboratory have the same optical and chemical composition as diamonds produced on earth.
Although scientists have been using this method since Mid-1900, the diamonds originally made are pumpkin colored. Only in recent years have scientists found a way to make white diamonds. There are two main ways to make laboratory grown diamonds.
