HPHT Lab Grown Diamonds Description
Laboratory grown diamonds and diamond simulants
It is important to note the main differences between laboratory and simulated diamonds. Diamond mimics, such as cubic zirconia and carborundum, look similar to diamonds, but are not real carbon crystals. The chemical and physical properties of simulated diamonds are different from those of natural diamonds, so the price of simulated diamonds is much lower than that of synthetic diamonds. With the naked eye, the simulant can be distinguished from natural diamonds or laboratory grown diamonds.
Natural and laboratory grown diamonds have thermal conductivity, which can be distinguished from cubic zirconia by hand-held diamond tester. Some laboratory diamonds, together with some natural colored diamonds, may be mistaken for morsonite due to their similar conductivity when using some diamond testers. However, due to the different refractive properties of mosangite, gemologists can usually distinguish between diamond and mosangite, where mosangite is birefringent and diamond is single refractive.

HPHT Lab Grown Diamonds Introduction
Natural diamonds are created by nature and are the result of high temperature and pressure formed over billions of years. The Lab Grown Diamonds are produced in the laboratory, usually in a few weeks. The chemical difference between the two is same.
So how do you distinguish between Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds?
There is no obvious difference between the Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds. Even professional gemologists need special equipment to identify them. Professionals will be able to discern subtle contrasts in inclusions between lab grown and mined diamonds.
