HPHT Lab Grown Diamonds Description
Lab Grown Diamonds, also known as engineering or cultured diamonds, are grown in a highly controlled laboratory environment using advanced technology, which reproduces the natural conditions for the formation of diamonds under the mantle and crust. These synthetic diamonds are made up of actual carbon atoms, which are arranged in the unique crystal structure of diamonds. Because they are made of the same material as natural diamonds, they have the same optical and chemical properties.
The lab grown diamonds can now be easily bought in all kinds of colorless diamonds. Cultured diamonds are also available in fancy colors and are considered to be very rare in nature, including the popular colorful fancy yellow. Fancy color lab diamonds sell at a relatively reasonable price compared to their natural color diamond counterparts.
The lab grown diamonds are grown from tiny carbon diamond seeds that already exist. Advanced technology - either extreme pressure and heat or a special deposition process called chemical vapor deposition - mimics natural diamond formation methods. Some laboratory diamonds grown by deposition may also undergo pressure and heat treatment after growth. Laboratory grown fancy colored diamonds are formed when a small amount of specific trace elements are present in the growth stage of synthetic diamonds, just like in nature. In white and colored laboratory diamonds, the exact composition of trace elements may be different from that of natural diamonds. Laboratory diamonds can only be distinguished from natural diamonds by special equipment, which can detect trace elements and subtle differences in crystal growth.

HPHT Lab Grown Diamonds Introduction
Natural diamonds are created by nature and are the result of high temperature and pressure formed over billions of years. The Lab Grown Diamonds are produced in the laboratory, usually in a few weeks. The chemical difference between the two is same.
So how do you distinguish between Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds?
There is no obvious difference between the Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds. Even professional gemologists need special equipment to identify them. Professionals will be able to discern subtle contrasts in inclusions between lab grown and mined diamonds.
