Rough Lab Grown Diamonds Description
Laboratory-grown diamonds have many different names: lab diamonds, lab-made diamonds, man made diamonds, and even synthetic diamonds. These names indicate that cultivated diamonds are artificially created in laboratories or factories, rather than naturally formed or mined from the ground. To create lab grown diamonds, scientists use advanced technology to simulate the formation conditions of natural diamonds under the earth's crust. This formation process is the main factor that distinguishes lab diamonds from natural diamonds.
Since the physical and chemical properties of laboratory-grown diamonds and natural diamonds are exactly the same as those of natural diamonds, can people distinguish between the two?
The answer is yes. In fact, in terms of shape, rough lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds usually have different shapes. Due to different formation conditions, natural diamonds usually are octahedral crystals, that is, eight equilateral triangular crystal faces, while lab grown rough diamonds usually grow into crystals that contain both octahedrons and cubes, that is, six square crystal faces. Therefore, it can be easily distinguished from the appearance. Gem-quality laboratory-grown diamonds are usually manufactured by two technologies, HPHT and CVD. Due to different technical principles, the shapes of diamonds grown in HPHT and CVD laboratories are also different. The shape of HPHT diamond is usually a combination of cube and octahedral surface, while the shape of CVD diamond has no octahedral surface at all. The cubic crystal face grows faster than the octahedral crystal face.
However, it is difficult to distinguish between polished laboratory-grown diamonds and natural diamonds with the naked eye. Professionals can rely on professional testing equipment to distinguish them.

Rough Lab Grown Diamonds Introduction
Rough Lab Grown Diamond is a polycrystalline diamond made of diamond crystals with a diameter of 10 to 30 nanometers. In the early stage, man-made diamonds showed a light color of sugar due to the nitrogen atoms in the air entering into the diamond crystal. Through the improved production method of scientists, there is no difference between man-made diamonds and natural diamonds in appearance now.
