Artificial Lab Created Diamonds Description
Cultivation of diamonds, Lab created diamond (Synthetic diamond) business name, also known as Laboratory Grown diamond. Refers to in the laboratory or factory through a certain technology and process to manufacture and natural diamond appearance, chemical composition and crystal structure of the same crystal. A national standard for synthetic diamonds led by NGTC is being developed.
An equiaxed crystal body consisting of carbon atoms formed wholly or partly by the growth of an iOL.
The physical properties, chemical composition and crystal structure are basically the same as those of natural diamond, mossberg hardness 10, density 3.52 (±0.01) g/cm³, refractive index 2.417, dispersion value 0.044.
In July 2018, the FEDERAL Trade Commission (FTC) changed the 62-year-old definition of a diamond to recognize a lab-grown diamond as a diamond.
Diamond synthesis methods include chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and high temperature and pressure (HTHP).

Artificial Lab Created Diamonds Introduction
Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) usually involves the dissociation of carbon-containing gases under the action of high-temperature plasma and the deposition of carbon atoms on a substrate to form diamond films. The substrate can be non-diamond material, but single diamonds are usually formed by the deposition of carbon atoms on the diamond substrate. The carbon gas usually refers to the hybrid gas containing Synthetic diamond, methane and hydrogen. Synthetic diamond is the source of breaking atoms. Nitrogen can increase the growth rate, and hydrogen can inhibit the formation of graphite. CVD diamond synthesis is usually carried out under low pressure and high temperature conditions, the pressure is generally less than one atmosphere, and the temperature is about 1000 degrees.
Most single crystals of CVD synthetic diamonds are plate-shaped, with occasional small octahedral and diamond-shaped twelve-faceted edges. Earlier CVD synthetic diamonds were mostly dark brown or light brown in color, while recently discovered CVD synthetic diamonds have been shown to be colorless or nearly colorless due to late heat treatment. The inner inclusion of CVD synthetic diamond is small, and some needle-point and black irregular inclusion can be seen. But it can not be used as a basis to distinguish natural diamond from HTHP synthetic diamond. CVD synthetic diamonds do not have metal inclusions and are therefore not magnetic.
